You have two choices when you install laminate against a threshold of any kind: install the threshold before or after the laminate. Ultimately this is an installation choice that changes based on the preferences of a particular installer. The "when" of the installation isn’t as important as knowing that you are installing a threshold plate and where you will locate it. From there, you can always just draw a pencil line on the floor to represent the edge of the threshold, or screw it down into the subfloor before the laminate material goes in place. Threshold plates normally screw down into the subfloor with associated mounting hardware, but in some cases they can be glued or epoxied in place. Follow your specific manufacturer installation instructions.

    Hi Pat,

You could use a laminate Beading available where you purchased the flooring.

You need to use transition molding over the laminate flush with the threshold to give a finished look.
