Anyone know about room dividers?
My Aunt gave me this room divider and I can not find out anything about it. I know she has had it at least 40 years. It is 7' tall and the panels are16 1/2" wide, it is carved and it looks like A pic. of an livingroom from the 30's I think, and it took two men to bring it in my house, very heavy. I can not see the wood to find out what kind of tree it is from. Thank you in advance, any info. will help.

Contact a local antique dealer.
It is an Art Deco piece, 30’s - 40’s. Philbrook building in Tulsa Oklahoma has a great Art Deco museum and similar pieces.
Have you tried an on-line search or taken pictures and shown them at antique fairs? Maybe that could help with some suggestions to its origins.
Good luck!
Beautiful piece
Gorgeous i know that I would contact a antic dealer foresure
Very beautiful and unique!
It's a beautiful piece. Looks like an Art Deco room divider. I would get in touch with an auction house. They have their own appraisers. Look for any tags, labels, or marks on it. Antique dealers would not be that familiar with it. You may have a valuable piece.
Thank you for sharing about room dividers. Yes I know Room dividers are a great way to break up your space, walls and also save space in a small room. If you want to save space in your small room you can use a single room divider. I have already used this product of Steel-Aid.
Email or take this pic in with you to a antique dealer so they can give you an answer.
