I have use Clorox cleanup and that kills them
Diatomaceous earth would be a good solution. The only issue is that it is a powder that will need to be left out on surfaces to be effective. I have seen it at Lowe's and Tractor Supply. Here's an article on it:

Vinegar works for me. Easy, inexpensive and fast.
Sprinkling dry Comet all along the trail and after 3 or 4 days clean up the Comet, they will have carried it back ti the nest and destroyed the colony. have to do this a couple of times a year as we are on a slab and prone to the varmints! Never worry about my self or pets as the Comet is safe to use and really efficient on ants and spiders
