If you don't want to wait until a sale, I love Harbor Freight! Their tools are inexpensive and theirs always a coupon online... just Google for coupon.😊
Bill, first we research which tools are best for the task at hand, then we watch prices until we see a good price drop. It can be any store, just know your product and prices first
Bill...My husband enjoys Harbor Freight, Lowe's, Home Depot. Of course Craftsmen is lifetime guarantee and most Sears have closed in our area but Ace Hardware carries now along with a few other stores. Happy shopping, hope you find what you want!
"you get what you pay for" so lower cost isn't always best deal Really depends on what you are wanting by way of tools. Wrenches, screwdrivers, metric, saws, woodworking, lathes, leather, jewelry, metal work, masonry, foundry,???there are hundreds depending on what you need them for. Harbor Freight,Ebay,Amazon,Sears,Walmart Specialty tools online only. Holidays everybody has them on sale whether they are good or not you need to research make, model, power, cost, efficiency. I decide what I need for job(power, torque, sharp, longevity, size etc.)then need which brand/type to do job, then start Googling where I can get it the best price, shipping, warranties.
Harbor Freight has some great prices and the quality is fairly good. If you are not a heavy user that should be sufficient. Sign up for their coupons. They have great sales and you can always get a small item free (flashlight, microfiber cloth, batteries, are a few).
Check for sales prices at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware.
