How should I stack firewood?
If a woodchuck could chuck fire wood, would the woodchuck stack the wood lengthwise or crosswise?

Neither wise , Woodchucks want chuck your wood .
How much wood? A cord or more? Is the wood seasoned or is this fresh cut? Yes, believe it or not, it makes a difference. We purchase cords of oak and avocado every year. The wood we purchased last fall will be used this year. The wood we purchased this year will be used next year. These links will help.

neither, if he was chucking wood it wouldn't land stacked, it would be all over the place
He would alternate direction of each layer, to promote better air circulation.
