How can I hang a hose reel on the siding of the house?

I am trying to hang a hose hangers to the side of the house near the spigot but having a horrible time finding the wall stud or wall behind it to drill! I don’t want to end up with a bunch of holes in the siding. Tks!

Hi Roxanne. I have a concrete block house so I "planted" two 4 ft. 4x4 posts, 2ft deep, spaced slightly wider than the width of the hose reel. I then attached a 2x10 piece of lumber to the posts, drilled holes to mount the reel, painted it all, and mounted the reel. Works great, doesn't damage the house.😊
Tks! Sounds like a great decorative alternative!
Use a stud finder on the other side of the wall. Be very careful not to drill into the pipe.
