Hi Doris, yes, you should remove masking tape BEFORE silicone, or paint or whatever medium you are using is dry, It is not meant to stay on after paint or whatever is dry
Show are you planning on using masking tape ? Masking tape is good on walls & Windows because it leave no residue . As the person before mentioned, if you are planning on using it while painting, you need to pull it off the area you painted , before the paint dries.
