Hi Alisa, sorry everything I read says you cannot melt glass in a regular oven. Sorry
You must have been dreaming! What do you want to melt glass for?
No, the degree of heat to melt glass is too high. That's why glass blowers use torches.
In order to melt glass, as in making fused glass items, you need a kiln. A regular oven will not melt glass - especially colored glass. It will not reach the high heat needed to melt glass.
Melting glass in a regular oven is not possible. However, there is a kit you can purchase (I saw it at FireMountainGems, though I am sure it can be found elsewhere, too) that allows you to fuse small glass items in your microwave. I do not know if it works well or not. I have never bought or tried one. I merely know it exists.
There are paints you can use to decorate glass that become permanent (more or less) when you bake them in the oven. Might this have been what you saw? If so, check for Porcelain online. (Might have an e on the end - been a while since I saw it.)
There are types of clay you can bake in your regular oven, both recipes for making cornstarch clay and also products you can buy called polymer clay. It might be possible that you saw something done with polymer clay and glass that were baked.
That's about all I could think of. Hope you find what you're looking for.
