Pat, go to your Dollar Tree and you might get lots of ideas for Christmas decor and crafting. Lots of times I see things in there that I don't understand how they can sell for only $1.00
Just cut the letters out of thick cardboard, cover with glue and sprinkle red or green glitter on it and let it dry. Attach with fishing line.
You can use foam board, cardboard, or craft wood. Use stencils to mark the letters. Paint and glue glitter on them.
Here’s a set of faux metal JOY letters I made out of large paper mache letters from the craft store https://www.justalittlecreativity.com/2013/12/christmas-joy-diy-metal-salvage-marquee.html
You could use this same tutorial on a smaller scale with much smaller letters, I’ve seen them at the craft store too. They also have small precut wooden letters you can custom paint any way you’d like that would work well.
Your dollar type stores or even Walmart will probably also have individual letter ornaments you can purchase to add to your wreath too.
