Soak overnight in dish soap and vinegar then set in sun.
A good soaking in blue dawn dish soap and vinegar for 8-10 hours. Then air dry outside if weather permits.
I just did some(glass), put Dawn dish in jar and lid(lay lid flat to hold liquid) then hotwater let sit overnight then rinse well and leave open to air out. If you have lid liner remove it and replace.Plastic jars might not work no matter what you use. It gets into plastic.
Put baking soda in the jar and close the lid,
shake it around a couple time, let sit upside down
for a day or so.
Otherwise a crumbled up news paper will do the trick also, close the lid on this one too.
