Hi. Not recommended. Remove the slate and do the job right. Plus tiling over will really raise the level, if this is a floor.
Don't. Can't. Shouldn't. Slate needs to be removed.
You will certainly have to remove the slate before retiling. Take the slate out with a scraper tool. Looks like a broom. Then level the area with self leveling concrete. Then you can retile.
Bijous is right, and once the floor is raised you will need to plane all the doors.
Why not just paint it?
