Pam, my wife uses a spray paint to freshen up our outdoor cushions. I have used regular latex paint on other furniture. Latex paint is less expensive and goes a long way but spray paint is faster.

Hi Pam! I can tell you how to paint your cushions with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint! :)
It is super easy to paint with Dixie Belle:
Step one: Clean well
Step two: Mist the fabric and paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint
Step three: Sand between coats
And you're done!
