Yes I understand completely! These sites will help you out tremendously. Get ready for some serious cleaning . . . I spray the perimeter of my property and base of my house once a month with vinegar. Needs to be reapplied after every rain or snow event.

Naturally????? But there is a pill the vet has that when they bite the dog they die. Mine have been on them for years, works great.
orthoborate powder ... 'Flea Busters' or a similar product... safe for pets, carpets, etc. Treat the ENVIRONMENT --- your yard, sleeping areas for the pets.... the pet is the last you need to treat -- create a 'fleafree' environment.
Planting pennyroyal in your yard will deter fleas, but you'll need to consider a full yard treatment of granular flea killer. Keeping your yard free of animals will help you. Use Liquid Fence concentrate to deter rabbits and deer.
Dogs and cats are deterred by peppermint oil, Ruta Graveolens, orange oil.
Thank you all for your help .. I will check out each suggestion .. along with my outrageous reaction to such a mundane issue .. my poor Sampson cannot eat commercial dog food .. I cook chicken quarters and rice for him every day .. adding assorted veggies .. we make quite the pair 😂 but the point being .. I must be very careful where HE is concerned as well
