Hi Jim, You could just use "Roofix" A glutinous thick fibrous paint on able black sealer.
I'm not sure what stamped tin is but we used Metal Roof Coating on ours with no issues. It has ridges that are stamped in it.
Try clear Flex Seal.
you can clean it with bleach and jomax. just mix and apply with a manual sprayer. It will remove all of the algae and allow the sealer to adhere properly.
