Can gut children help around the house?

I have 2 chihuahua I wouldn’t take anything for. BUT, they shed. They should be nude. Little light colored eyelashes all over.

I saw saw on YouTube a German Shepherd picking things up and putting them away. Mine knock over the folded clothes if I’m too lazy to put them away. They can spread toys faster than I can pick them up.

Buster helps me make up the bed. It’s king size. He can get everything except the fitted sheet off and down the hall.

Thanks for lidtening 😊.

Camilla in a pillow case.

Buster helping me knit.

  • They are so precious! Just melts my heart. I will do anything for animals.

Here is part of my crew. Baby Luckie Daisey (just turned 5) - has a front paw deformity and she can't walk properly and surgery isn't a guarantee, (in spite of the thousands it will cost), but going to give it a go, if it doesn't work, I will be looking for the people that do the little wheelie handicapped carts.

Bailey, 11.5 and Daisey. Bailey used to have stand up ears, but we like to go to the beach and she just dives into the surf. When she comes out, she shakes her head really hard and over the course of a couple years developed a hematoma on each ear (separate years), and they never recovered. Not a big deal and hasn't stopped her in the least.

My newest rescue, Finn, and they think he is around 3.

Bailey sheds in clumps no matter how much I brush her and yes she is healthy, she has had many a vet visit. The original problem child. I revamped the entire household when she arrived. Has skin allergies that are not food related.

All rescues under various circumstances. I would give my life for any one of them.

Your babies look so happy. So glad to see people rescuing instead of supporting the puppy mills. Give them hugs from us.

    Cute puppies!

Jody, what a cute doggie! Teach them to put their toys in a box or basket. Lots of dogs are trained to do this.

Come help. They know what I want. Buster doesn’t want his toys in the basket. He likes them all over the place.

Can’t believe I missed GUT children for FUR. Thank you for being nice. Happy holidays.

Thanks to all of year. These are my family. They are rescues although that’s pushing it with these 2. They were rotten when I got them. Camilla is a squeaky soprano and Buster was a cat in his last lifetime. He “purrs”. When we went to the vet for his foot a couple weeks ago they thought he was moaning from pain. He was just talking. If he hurts he screeches 😊.

We’ve had many discussions about putting away their things. I put them in, he takes them out. If I go to the grocery he has to go. It’s very hard to get out the door without him. Without hurting him. My neighbor and I were going shopping together and she was out on the car port laughing hysterically as I was trying to get out the door.

A chihuahua I’d recused 4 years ago died without warning in September. These 2 have been very clingy and terrible at times since and I’ve kicked myself for not noticing anything. She wasn’t in distress, just stopped breathing. She was fat and nothing fit the weight off. Her Dr thinks her heart just quit. Mine almost did too.

When my DH died in 2005, my babies kept me sane. The great people in this group are also a huge support team. I’ve always liked doing things myself. Doing a lot of my own repairs and redoing things. My babies like to help. Repotting plants. Checking out the lower kitchen cabinets and pushing stuff out into the floor. Buster doesn’t chew but he sure is busy. Camilla is just lots of moral support.

I apologize for all the misspelled words. I did go over it twice. Thanks for reading between the lines.

I understand your wanting to fix your baby’s foot. I don’t know what you have in your area but we have several vet clinics who are excellent but provide a lot of advanced care for reduced amounts. I mean huge differences. Now I might have to drive an hour for one of them but there are 3 near me who provide excellent care for seniors and people on low income so the babies can stay healthy. My son’s dog was hit by a car- long story. He didn’t have the money to pay for her desperately needed orthopedic surgery. The Dr did the surgery, cut costs wherever he could- like didn’t charge the emergency fees, donated a lot of after care supplies, cut his own fees by half, etc. Hope you find someone there like him. It’s terrible watching your baby not happy.

Thanks all, what are you doing for the holidays? Mine love their roast chicken and vegetables. The smiling baby is Autumn.

  • So cute!! I would look for videos online or even a dog class that can teach them. I would just repeat it over and over and I bet they'll catch on.

Your dog can be trained to put its things away, and to mind you. They are innocent and do not know until you teach them how too. Good luck. Merry Christmas.

My babies are actually trained. Chihuahua are a bit stubborn. They are supposed to be hard to potty train but Camilla figured it out at 4 weeks. She’s perfect. Buster arrived a year later. He pottied outside then came inside and squatted. Camilla rushed over and sunk teeth into his hip. She chased him down the hall to the per pad. He’s been trained ever since.

I truly understand repetitive training and so do they. They think this is a game. But picking my battles, they’re housebroken and sweet. They love meeting new people. I’ll live with the toys all over.

I really wish there were cleaning tools for 6 lb guys. I truly think Camilla would try hard to vacuum and dust if she could. They both have seen me grab a rag to clean up a spill. They will find a small item in the dirty clothes or a clean piece if I’ve been lazy and not put the folded ones away. They apparently are trying to clean up a spot they found.

Chi’s shed. All the time. When someone put the hint on here about using a rubber squeegee to get the hair out of the carpet and upholstery. Wow!!! But I love them anyway.

Years ago ago someone had a sign that basically said if you were allergic to pet hair, the pet lives here.

    Hugs to all of you.
