How do I get baked on oil off of cookie sheets?
My 15-year-old is practicing baking. SOOO, she has completely ruined my cookie sheets by using cooking spray on them instead of parchment paper (She says it's easier.) My pans even feel sticky after washing with a degreaser dish washing detergent.

Good luck!
I scrub with a brillo pad.
Please try letting it sit overnight with hot water and two to three tablespoons of automatic dishwasher soap in it. It is much easier if it is the plain liquid. Swish together the water and (Cascade type dishwasher soap, covering the bottom of the pan. Next morning it should wash off easily.) Any really baked on leftover oil, I use a good quality copper scratcher type. The copper holds up well and does not tare up my fingers. As you use the copper pads, (look in the cleaning supply of any store). I get 2 in a package for about $2.89) you will discover good quality from the cheap kind. Happy cleaning!
I think Brillo is your best bet. It may scratch, but it will get that greasy film off.
