I am in a very arid portion of zone 9 and can only grow indoors. The summer heat of 100°+ with extremely low humidity they just go limp, they need humidity.
I have a number of them in my large critter tank aquarium. It sits just inside the south window in our back room and loves the filtered light it gets. Being totally enclosed it is easy to keep the humidity up, even in the winter and they love it.
