How do I remove "baked on" window film?
Previous home owners put some sorta film on the window on East side of our home. This side gets hot during the Summer months and it's basically baked on now. It seems to be similar to the film you put on to help keep the sun/heat out. We have tried scraping it, very tedious. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Try warming it with a hair dryer or heat gun and using a plastic or nylon scraper like they use on automotive window tint to gently remove the film.
Hi Gothchickenlady, I agree with Laura except I would use a razor blade.
Spray with white vinegar and baking soda mixed with water.
I wonder if goof off would work. It removes almost anything else.
What an annoying isssue.
Good luck cleaning the glass.
Spray with warm soapy water and cover with a black trash bag. Wait a little while to let it soak and it should peel off.
Please do let us know what worked. I've got the same situation on my back sliding glass door! 😎
