Help! My counter for questions answered has disappeared
The counter on my profile has disappeared. In fact, my whole profile is missing for questions answered. It was stuck on 59 for a couple of days, and now it is gone. Did I miss a memo? I should have 100 by the 15th and maybe 200 by the 31st. IT, Wendy, anybody, what do I do?

Hi Jewell,
My name is Linda. Your numbers and profile are there now. Maybe it was just a glitch in the system. When you get an email from Wendy, be sure her email is in your contacts. That way you can email her directly when something like this happens. Wishing you the best.
If you find at any time that your screen is not showing updated information as to what you think the number counts, etc. should be, try this:
(1) Clear your Browsing History
(2) Clear your Cache
(3) Log out of Hometalk
(4) Close your Browser
(5) Close any other windows that may be still open
(6) Shut your computer off
(7) Wait 5 minutes
(8)Then turn it on, open your Browser, log back into Hometalk
Sometimes a system can get 'stuck', sort of like a traffic jam in a parking lot. Nobody knows what the cause is, just that no cars can move.
The way to clear the jam is to stop any new cars from trying to get into the parking lot, and to slowly move one car at a time. Going through the above steps will allow your computer to be one of those cars that moves out one at a time. When the system (parking lot) gets unjammed, your computer can then update with your profile, or any other information.
Still not working. What number of answers do you see, Linda Sikut? Flipturn, I closed every open file by clicking on the double books in the lower right corner, then clicking the x beside every file page that appeared in the list. I don’t know if this is the history or cache. And I did the shut down/open up steps, too. I have tried clicking on the photo, the icon and everything else I thought might work. Any more help?
Hi Jewell,
This is Eli from Hometalk Support. Well, it looks like I am out of a job!! Flipturn and Linda, very good advice!!
Although, I will say, from an IT perspective, turning off your computer should not have any effect on the website you are viewing. Turning off/restarting your computer is good if your computer is frozen, or not responding.
Anyway, Jewell, I can see your answers in the attached picture... 111!!
