You could use it as a base for a cone wreath. Pinterest had loads of ideas. Use old book pages, maps or music sheets. Make into cones. Arrange around lid. Stick on. Fill middle with small baubles.
Or draw a scene on it with glitter paint
It would be adorable to make a winter scene out of it! Add fake snow, figurines, miniature trees, etc. The silver part can be frozen ice!

Adding to the above ideas: Cover your "scene" with a cloche, glass or plastic, maybe a skinny feather or fur boa at the edge of silver disc. That way you could have an extended scene outside the main one.....just a thought. ( I have some of those saved as well).
