The top cabinet appears to be glued on. I want to transform the desk into more of an executive style desk. What tools do I need and how do I proceed?
A photo would help. Remove the top drawer and look inside for any screws that can be holding it to the carcass.
It may be laminate. You should see a seem at the edge, try to slip a putty knife under it and start working it up. Just so you know, if it is laminate the wood under it will not be of a quality to refinish. It would be better just to put on a new top.
Hi. It may be glued together as a box if you can't find any screws on the back or inside the dresser. It may be more trouble than it's worth...
Thanks- I didn't even know where to start. Appreciate all the suggestions
