How do I paint baseboards?
Do the baseboards always have to be a different color? I find that they stand out too much. How about a door that you rarely use? Can it be painted the same color as the wall?

In my house the baseboards sew the same as the wall color, and in the rooms with hardwood floors, there are wood baseboards to match the floor.
Same with doors, you can paint whatever suits your taste!
Baseboards don't have to be a different color but it does add dimension and defines the room. Doors can be painted any color that suites your taste. Same color as the walls would "hide" a door. Other colors just add character to the doors.
There are no hard fast rules. The classic. Decor is white,or off white woodwork- trim, doors. Crown, etc. Walls colored . But if trim is nothing to write home about, paint same color as walls, only semi gloss.
