How do I hang my kitchen cupboard doors after removing for painting?
We removed our kitchen cupboard doors for repainting and since that time haven't been able to hang them correctly )even in spite of using the exact same screw holes), top and bottom, that these doors originally hung from.So now the doors have been painted the color I like but they all hang a bit wonky so it looks very unprofessional. There must be a trick to hanging kitchen cupboard doors. Please help!

Oh dear, so sorry to hear that. It must be so frustrating. I'm not sure what kind of hinges you have but maybe this video will help - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKKLLj-RwPo
looking back .. maybe you didn't number the doors to the cupboard they came off of ... this happens all the time if you don't mark the doors and the corresponding cupboards ... and new hardware may help as well ... it's not just the hinges/screw holes ...
Just fill in the existing screw holes with glue and toothpicks or wood filler and make new holes that will let the doors hang correctly!
I think Carol has the right idea. Take the cabinets and hardware off. Use wood filler in all the old space and let it dry for TWO DAYS. Then hold the doors in place and mark with a pencil. Drill new holes and reattach the doors. And be sure to take pics to share on Hometalk. 🤟🏻
It would help to see the hardware. Some cabinets have hinges that are adjustable. Sounds like you may have gotten your doors mixed up. I wouldn't go to the trouble of filling holes and getting new hardware until I exhausted all free options. Filling holes and drilling new ones requires a lot of patience and skill to do it right plus buying new hardware is quite expensive. Good luck in whatever you choose.
