The dogs ate almost all my cherry tomatoes last year.
Hit me in my area last night. I covered mine too. Still a few leaves were frost bitten. Just trim them off and let it recover - mother nature works wonders. I only have two going as I have never tried to grow over the winter months.

If they do get frost during the night, go out early in the morning before the sun comes up and lightly spray with your hose. This helps to get rid of the frost and will not burn. Usually covering with a heavy sheet or blanket will help to deter them from getting frost during cold weather.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TOO MANY, PLANT IN LARGE POTS AND BRING INSIDE IN FRONT OF SOUTH FACING WINDOWS. YOU CAN MOVE THEM BACK OUTSIDE WHEN THE DAY WARMS UP
