How can I get rid of lizards in my home?

I have lizards living in my sunroom under my book shelves. They range from small to large and leave their poops everywhere. I am petrified of them. My husband used to chase them away but they always come back. What can I do to get rid of them.

Lucy, Call your towns animal control, they can set traps to catch them and release them somewhere else. Aloha!

Get rid of their food source they eat bugs(crickets,coakroaches,ants,etc.)caulk or a spray foam any openings that lead in/out of room.

How can you be afraid of lizards? They are absolutely adorable! I have a rescue pet dragon. He is a doll! You should be happy as they eat bugs and are great for your garden.

First step is to call an exterminator and get a free inspection. Then plug up all the holes where they are getting in. See if these help.

  Thanks Roger! They are adorable harmless and beneficial little creatures. Nothing cuter than watching a baby lizard feasting on a fresh spring strawberry. I have lots of them in my yard and just let them be. My Doberman terrier is quick and she catches them gingerly and brings them to be friends with the dragon. It's hilarious. Now I did read a study recently wherein if a direct descendant relative, say a grandmother or grandfather, had a paralyzing fear of something, it can be passed on to future generations through DNA. I find that to be fascinating. I have no fear of anything whatsoever, what does that say about my ancestors? One can conquer their fears . . . but only if they want to. If you don't like them, just deter them, no need to harm or kill them. Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉
