What should I do to the walls of my kitchen?
I am considering wood looking wallpaper for my kitchen. Having trouble deciding if I should go vertical or horizontal. And I want white but my cabinets are white. Will it be too much white? And should I do the whole room?

I would do the whole room. You will be surprised how muc larger and brighter the room is.
White on white can be tricky. It could turn out ell or horribly wrong. If you choose a pattern that has a white background, that might look better. If it has an obvious "direction" I would hang vertically to have the room appear taller. In the breakfast nook, I would leave the chair rail and choose a color out of the wallpaper to use on the bottom section of the chair rail. And yes, I would paper the entire area for a cohesive appearance. Otherwise it will look like a half complete project and choppy.
It would be helpful if you provided a picture or two of the rest of the kitchen.
Wood on bottom half below chair rails white on top. You can mix the whites thru out kitchen- flat, semi gloss or even different shades of white. All white kitchens are fabulous & timeless( add a few pops of color here & there) https://www.elledecor.com/design-decorate/room-ideas/g191/white-kitchens-63080/ MORE https://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/white-kitchens MORE https://www.hgtv.com/design/rooms/kitchens/40-white-kitchens-that-are-anything-but-vanilla-pictures
Consider glazing the white cabinets so they aren't so stark white.. Use horizontal wood wallpaper and paint below chair rails to match cabinets. Make everything cohesive
I don't do things according to trends, but what pleases me. I like white because and it is neutral you can always add color accents. It is also easier for the next owner to cover with their colors. why are the blinds down? I have them but keep them up to let light in. light lifts your mood, dark depresses.
Ohhhh I am in Love with your Kitchen! Can only say what My 1st thought was. You say you love white? I Totally agree with you! There’s only TWO things I would do, both Easy Peasy!!!!
First would be to Repaint All the Wall Areas the same color( I would choose a light buttery yellow or grey) for continuity and it will also seem to Enlarge your kitchen/dining area!
Then, add back your chair rail and Beadboard! Paint the bead board a white as close to matching up with your cabinets as possible! Thank heavens for paint chips!!! Let us know what you do! Beckie
I would NOT wall paper the area. Since you love white, why not keep that going on the walls and then just add or change out colorful accessories now and then. Less busy! And lasstly, do what pleases you! Some people like the contrast of colors between walls and cabinetry and window coverings. I prefer a more serene look without too much color so I don't limit myself to being able to change out cushions, accent pieces, etc., even in the kitch.
