How can I update my 1960's sliding closet doors?
We just bought a house with lightweight hollow core closet doors - the kind that slide across or behind the other when you open one side. Any ideas?
I saw verticle blinds with attached sheers and loved them. The price was quite hi fo my budget soooo I purchased crushed voile panels and attached them at the top of the verticals with HOT Glue. I love them and that was 2 yrs ago and they still look great. You do have to plan where the seams fall so they dont show. I have a deep valance over the top so nothing shows.
Clean and paint the blinds a color you like. Use a large stencil. Tape the slats side-by-side with masking tape. Paint the stencil design on the slats. Spray with polyurethane to seal. When the blinds are closed, the full picture will be revealed. 😊
If you want you could paint small colors and change the look of them
