Can you tile over a fiberglass shower surround?
You can tile around the surround but not the surround itself. No adhesive will hold to the fiberglass and with any movement grout will crack and tiles fall off.
If you end up doing this don't forget to seal the grout. Makes cleaning much easier.
Don't forget to use a roll or plastic sealer between your tub and the upstand.
Waterproof sealant is available or a roll of plastic sealer strip.
