How do I put down a wood laminate floating plank floor in a room?
We want to put down a waterproof laminate wood planked floor with built in subflooring, in one room, but need to know, can we put in parts of it and then put furniture on that part as we continue putting the rest of the floor down. We have large parrots in this room and their cages are heavy.

I've never seen a laminate floor that was absolutely waterproof. Where did you find this?
Yes you can. Just don't shift or slide the furniture. Carefully pick up and set down or the flooring will separate. I agree with Olivia. There is no such thing as waterproof laminate flooring. Why not go with peel and stick vinyl plank flooring. Looks like wood, porcelain and tile. Use flooring protectors under the cages.
Supposedly this is 100% waterproof Pergo flooring.
