How do I care for my Rosemary plant that froze?

My Rosemary froze completely this year.....never has before, usually stays green. Will I have to replant, or will it come back in the spring?

You will just have to wait and see. In the spring, trim all the dead bits off and see what happens. If it starts to show new growth, it survived. If nothing happens after a few months, it's gone and you will need to remove and start over. Rosemary is pretty hardy, just be patient.

This is LInda. It depends on how low the temperature actually went. Rosemary can live as long as it's above 17 degrees F. Here's an article that should help you.

AS long as roots have not frozen-no ground freeze should be fine. Frost & snow should not do much it's ground freeze that damages it beyond return.When wheather warms trim off dead and plant will begin to regrow.Don't do this until warmer

Thanks Lynn.....I did cut the rosemary back, but not all the way to the ground....so I'm hoping it will come back. Weather was in the 20's in Nov., which is unusual in south Texas. Like I said, my rosemary has always remained green during the winter. Thanks again.
