How can I paint a kitchen with cooking oil on the walls?
I just bought a new home.Unfortunately, there's a lot of work to do (and I will definitely be using your application). The kitchen walls are covered in cooking oil. What should I do?

Hi ! I found a product when I was redoing my kitchen called Krud Kutter de glosser , it it meant to get off grease , oils , polishes ... I found it at home depot . I would start by using this , then when you're ready to paint use a primer type product kilz , or stain oils , this covers stains like grease or nicotine , sometimes you will need to use 2 coats . Then you can paint ! Good luck !!!
See if you can scrape some of the grease away. Then use a steam cleaner or hot water with dish soap and a foam scrubber or brush. Don't use paint until it is clean. It won't work well.
Open windows and use ammonia , hot water, and a scrub pad. Rinse well then use a good primer before painting. Lots of work but worth it.
Kathey...The grease really needs to be removed before covering with anything I believe. There are many degreasers out there but it depends on the wall you care trying to clean. Also a utility scraper works wonders. Good luck!
Try using a degreaser on them like TSP. This will easily get rid of the oil to where you can paint them.
