They are tunneling through the lawn... eating the roots of my perennials... you name it. I've tried spray, poison, vibrating spikes and I'm seeing years of work eate... See more
When a tenant had them, i had to "bite the bullet" and call in the pros. Here, it cost $850; they treat with chemicals but more importantly with heat. It is an 8 hour process but it works. To get the name a reliable expert, i called the city Housing Authority because i figured they had dealt with this before whereas i had not. Good Luck!
Above is the way to go. I’ve heard you may have to get a new mattress as well and wash all fabrics with hot water. Consult the professionals to be sure.
Do yourself a favor and call in the pros.

I have never seen home remedies work.
I have had great results using this at a friend's house and found the best way to begin is to completely clean the rooms affected.
Start by making sure to vacuum and spray your box spring and mattress.
They love to hide in and around wood legs of the bed and the floor moldings.
After thoroughly cleaning and spraying with Hotshot Bedbug and Flea Spray, make sure to wash the floor.
After this dries, separate mattress from your box spring. Sprinkle a good amount of baking powder to the top of the box spring, making sure to get it in the material on the edges also.
Afterwards, cover the box spring with a bedbug protective cover.
Repeat for the mattress.
It is alot of work, but it is much cheaper and just as effective as a professional.
You have to catch them early and use your vacuum daily, (and empty daily outside), for this to be sufficient.
I hope this helps! Best of luck!
Exterminator! You have to wash/dry/bag all clothes, curtains, bedding and remove from the house. Take off all outlet covers and light switch covers. Buy a bed bug cover that covers the mattress and box spring of ALL BEDS! You cannot only treat one room, they travel!
i had one summer that 5 rentals right beside each other got infested!! It started from 1 house, they put the couch outside to get rid of it and threw the dog blanket out the other door. Houses on both sides got them and it spread from there! The live behind pictures, bed frames, furniture etc... GOOD LUCK!!
Steam them they will die
