How do I lay the pattern for vinyl flooring in a large room?
Is it better to do a random pattern or an every 4 row duplicate pattern on a 20 x 20 livingroom?

Natalie, what type of vinyl are you using? You can create a pattern for sheet vinyl using craft paper. Lay it down and cut to fit, then use it as the pattern for your vinyl. For vinyl tiles, they should be layed out in a brick pattern or a grid. For vinyl planks, these should be offset so that there is no distinct repetition.
Start in the middle in the room
Hi Natalie. I'm Cindy. Find the center of the floor. Make an X on the center. Lay 4 tiles on the X. Work your way out from there. This way you won't end up with cut tiles in the room. Any cut tiles will end up at the perimeter of the room. Also, don't forget to buy 10% extra materials. This allows for mistakes. Good luck Natalie.
