How do I stop water from leaking from around the bottom of my commode?
I have to keep a towel on the floor around the front of my commode. The water comes from under the bottom of the commode. Not a lot. Just a little.

Georgia, it appears that the wax ring under the commode is allowing it to leak. You will need to find a plumber to reset your commode with a new wax ring. Depending on the type of floor you have, wood or concrete, you may have a rot issue (don't ask me how I know about this! LOL). Sometimes, if you have concrete and someone has laid tile later, the commode sits higher than before. A single, regular wax ring is not enough. There are special thicker rings to solve this problem. At any rate, you will need a plumber or a handyman to fix this problem.
You need to replace your wax seal, it has failed.
Have you tried tightening the bolts that bolt the toilet to the floor? If that doesn't work, you probably need to pull the toilet and replace the wax ring.
Georgia, you need to pull the toilet and replace the wax ring. They wear out sometimes
Thanks
It sounds like you need a new wax ring.
