How can I seperate the wood from the original top?
I have this beautiful table that my dad glued cheap wood on to make it round for my mom. Is there anyway to get it apart so I can restore it to its original shape.

Omg, I have that exact table. I don't see any nail or screws so tap on back with a hammer to see if top pops up. I will tell you that it may damage the top of the cloverleaf table a bit. Mine wasn't fine wood so may not be of great loss. I had a piece of laminate that looked like marble applied to mine. Still love it today. Good luck.
If the "popping off" after hammering it a bit doesn't work, you may have to try to pry the round top away from the original tabletop. Maybe a very thin knife blade or even a long strand of fishing line started on one side and pulled back and forth between the two may alert you to where all the glue is. You might try using a hair blower dryer to weaken/soften the glue bond between the two. That is such a cute cloverleaf table, I sure hope you find a way to bring it back to its original shape!
Try a heat gun
I would try a heat gun, a long thin chisel and a hammer. aim the heat at point, push the chisel in. then tap steadily. Work on the three lobes toward the center.
a heat gun isn’t expensively and you can damage it with a chisel. A heat gun gets really hot and you will want to wear gloves. You could try separating it with plastic clamps attached to a work bench and with the heat gun you can do all kinds of things!
