Plain old white vinegar!
If porcelain, soft scrub
It depends on the type of tub and how bad the soap scum has built up on it. Marble tub, I spray every time with Lysol Power Bathroom Cleaner Spray in the blue trigger spray bottle.
Other tub I spray weekly with "wet & forget shower" which keeps it clean & prevents build up on the tub & walls.

I've heard of 50/50 blue Dawn & vinegar as well but don't have personal experience with that.

I think very warm water and bleech could help
I use Dawn dish soap baking soda then add some white vinegar and hot water scrub with really stiff toilet bowl brush(not the one you use in toilet)toilet brush makes it easier to reach across tub and up on walls
