It was from a name tag.
Use point tipped tweezers and kinda comb/rake the fuzzies loose then pluck off. If you don't have tweezers you can use the tip of a safety pin or a needle to pick the debris loose so you can pull it off with your fingers.

I use a seam ripper. Really quick, just run it one way and it pushes all the fuzz and threads to the other side.

Use a fine tooth comb perpendicular to the Velcro strip and just comb it through.
You are gonna think this is nuts. But I used a dog flea comb to fix mine. The comb has super thin tines and worked great.
