How do I remove silk screen lettering from back of a denim jacket?

Have white silk screened lettering on the back of denim jacket - want to remove without damaging/ leaving trace on the denim. How do I do that

I think the Hometalkers who've suggested putting something over it are on the right track. Most inks used for silk-screen at least partially penetrate the fabric, so it is nearly impossible to remove them completely. Covering the silk-screened area with something else is far more likely to be successful.

I think whatever you use to remove it will still leave a trace. Try putting something over it.
