How could slanted walls in an A-Frame house be decorated?
The walls in the living room have joist, plus they are curved. Any ideas on how to decorate them above the ledges (see pic below).

Depending on your decorating style, you could hang quilts or tapestries. Another thought is painting some sort of mural, or just add wallpaper.
Maybe shelves? You would need to put items on them that will fit in the curves of the wall of course but that might work. Or how about shadow boxes that are braced out at the bottom so that they would be level and you could put items in them. Might be able to do that with pictures too.
You might try dressing the areas up between the joists with wallpaper too if you are into wallpaper.
DON'T!! Anything you do to them will bring down the height of the ceiling and just draw attention to them! If anything, paint same light color of the ceiling,to raise it up!
I have seen printed posters that are theme oriented to your decor placed between the rafters at camp lodges. Also wooden cutouts of fish, birds, butterflies attached to the roof. Even Wind chimes hanging from the center post positioned and arranged attractively so they sway in the wind. I have also seen weathered rope or net placed between the rafters and attached to vertical beam. Use eye hook or something smaller. You could hang wooden fish or lake birds from the center pitch of the roof. There really is so many ways to change this up with your seasons, weather, etc. We live at Medina Lake so cut out fish hanging from the ceiling with weathered net is very appealing. You can also use cut mirror pieces attached to your ceiling with double sided tape. Have fun!!! Don’t forget about shells!!
I like the idea of some wallpaper in places.
You can hang standard framed artwork by using museum mounting putty or command strips at the bottoms so all four corners remain on the walls. I recommend using non-glare glass because the angles may make the pictures look wonky.

You could install panels that set forward of the walls. To get the panel plumb and level, use collared spacers in staggered lengths (longer spacers at the bottom of the panel, shorter ones at the top). Art work becomes more of a gallery presentation.
Plants hanging in various spots would add some liveliness to those areas. Just one of those ceiling lamp hooks where you'd like the plants to be. You could also search out decorating items that can be used horizontally such as branches, musical instruments, such as a flute, etc. Once you start thinking about horizontal or linear decor, you might be surprised what you come up with. :)
