  • Where are you Mary Lou? What zone? Avocados are native to Mexico among other places. See if these help.

I am in zone 9 bordering on zone 10. And right down the road from commercial avocado and citrus growers. My climate is perfect for them.

I wouldn't give up on it just yet, wait till spring and see if it comes back.

Is it getting the same amount of light that it got outdoors? If not, sometimes even a sunny window isn't enough, perhaps you need a plant light. It sounds as if it may not be getting enough water. Indoors in the dryer heat in the winter it may require more water. The plants we bring in are usually watered at least twice a week, we use a moisture meter to see where the moisture in the pot is at. If the branches and main stem are still pliable, you may be able to save it. It will be a waiting game. Good luck Mary Lu!

Advacado actually grows as a tree in Florida and they get pretty big...never heard of a dwarf. It requires sandy qell trained soil, lots of light and warm weather

..they go dormant and drop their leaves Florida winters...so. Florida so never very cold and by Jan or Feb it is already 70 in so Fl. As a potted plant I woul5 5hink giving it some just above freezing temps for a few weeks 5hen a month or so of 60 5o 70 degrees and then about 85 with full sun for long periods and high humidity...5hat is how 5hey grow in west palm and you can get 300 advacados. You can also probably find south Florida extension service on line for specific type of fertilizer I forgot that 20 y ago

You do know that most homegrown ones started from a seed don’t ever mature to having their own fruit? They are usually grafted onto a full grown mature tree.

How rude. Maybe she just likes the looks of the tree as do I hence the reason I live in iowa and have 3 of them growing inside my home.
