How do I bond torn thick vinyl upholstery?
Need structural grade glue for failing sling seats, as there’s not enough material to re-stitch it on a commercial sewing machine. It would also show on the top, even if the stitching geometry would work.

Nice chair! Hmm, I am wondering if you could patch it with an additional piece of purchased commercial grade naugahyde? Not sure what glue to use either? Hopefully someone will have a brilliant solution.
We bought a kit from Walmart or Home Depot for repairing just such a tear on our furniture and you could not tell it had been torn. They have clear instructions and it held. We also used it to repair our son's leather jacket. It also fixed it! Hope this helps Cheryl
Thanks. This vinyl functions like a hammock. It is a sling and its’ tears are going to have to be cemented, for lack of a better word.
i looked at the kits at Walmart.com and I’m going to have to call the manufacturer, as I don’t see how they can bond like this.
Try Gorilla glue.
