Does anyone know if Japanese Wisteria or any Wisteria will do well in south Florida? I had one up north and it was just beautiful

Douglas Hunt on Jun 20, 2012Alice, we can grow a wonderful native wisteria, Wisteria frutescens, in Central Florida. I'm not sure about as far south as you are, but if would be worth asking at a good local nursery. You probably had either Chinese or Japanese wisteria up north, and neither of those will do well for us.Helpful Reply

I live in South Florida. Very humid, very rainy. I love hydrangeas and lilacs. Can they thrive in these tropical temps? Container, in ground, or both?
