Pat: sounds like someone needs to do a bit of "editing" and only keep the ones she uses! ...thrift stores (or even consignment stores) would love to have them. Other wise:

Mine are in large, clear plastic boxes. Fabric bags for the leather ones, in those boxes.

Pat: Maybe it's time to "edit" and make some $$ at a consignment store!

    Here's a good video tho:

  • Is there a closet that they can use just for purses? I would line them up on shelves.

Mine are stored in boxes and the leather bags have their own dust covers. While I don't have 200 handbags, I do have 200+ pair of shoes, boots and flip flops and around 100 hats.

Buy inexpensive tall bookcases. You can get more/extra shelves and clips from hardware stores (Ace has great ones in various lengths and shades).

Next, put the purses which stand on their own on the bottom shelf and then add the first shelf. Do the same with the next shelf on up.

The top shelf I would recommend screwing in coffee cup holders on the top side so that purses which need to "hang", to keep from being messed, up can be.

I would lines up as many of these shelves up as needed.

You can decorate the cabinet front itself to make it pretty or attach a small curtain rod and add a pretty curtain to discuss the spot.

    Good luck!

I used a closet sweater hanger. 3 purses sit upright into each shelf. My sweater hanger has 5 shelfs, so it holds 15 purses.

You sound like you need a wall with adjustable shelves so they can be upright.
