How can I fix up vinyl covered kitchen chairs?
The vinyl on my kitchen chairs are pitted and scratched up from our cats. Is there a fix to this other than throwing cloth covers over them?

Hi TamIAm,
You could remove the old vinyl and put on some new, but if you still have your cats, they will probably scratch that one too. :( There are also vinyl repair kits although some are just like taping over the scratches. I personally would add tie-on cushions to the chairs if I didn't want to recover them in fabric. At least those could easily be changed if the cats continue scratching. You might also check out your local pet store to see if they have an product designed to keep pets away from furniture if you'd like to try to prevent it. If your cats are indoor cats, you could get some nail covers that will also help prevent future scratching. I hope one of these ideas helps you. Wishing you the best!

Hi I would remove the old vinyl, trace it onto the new fabric (maybe not vinyl this time) then re-attach the fabric using a staple gun. It's an easy fix!
That's what I was considering. Thank you.
