Need to tighten the nut up inside the bottom of this lamp so the top part can hold in place.
How do I tighten the nut on this lamp?
I have a lamp that's 1ft 16in long with the opening of the hole at the bottom that's only 2in wide, so how do i tighten up the bottom nut that's on the inside of the lamp an I can't reach the nut to tighten it?

Go to your close home improvement store and get an extension that is long enough to reach the nut. That would be the best way to do it with out using tools that aren't made for the job of tightening the bolt.
There should have been a rod that goes from the top to the bottom and goes through a base with feet. Then you could reach a nut. So it looks like your lamp doesn't have a base you may need just to redo the lamp a bit more in add a lamp base to it and get a long rod that will go all the way through to the top to attach to the light socket and then to the base.
Use a wrachet with a long handle you should put a block of wood under the lamp to stand on
