Thank you Lynn. I have used that before. The sink I’m working on is in an older home that was not taken care of very well, so it’s pretty bad. It’s interesting to me, that “stainless steel” gets rusty. Don’t know what was put it that sink.
Bar Keepers Friend is the best answer for this. I had the same problem. I does not harm the sink at all but removes the rust. You can find it where you buy Ajax and Comet cleansers.

Use Stainless steel cleaner or Steel wool such as Brillo. You could even try WD-40
