You can call your local weather station and ask them as it varies from year to year in every zip code, depending on the previous winter and so forth. Also you can just watch the local news for weather up dates and they will tell you. If they do say an unexpected frost is going to happen, cover your outdoor plants with a sheet or light weight frost blanket for the night and remove in the daylight. You can buy frost blankets where nursery items are sold. Sometimes we have slipped our our potted plants under the patio table for the night to prevent a light frost.
