How do I choose Mod Podge?
Hi everyone. I could use some guideance, please. There are numerous "types" of Mod Podge available at my local craft stores. None list ingredients or any information about specific uses with the exception of one which claims to be dishwasher safe. My understanding is it's essentially watered down elmers glue. I live in SW Florida where we experience maybe 30 "cool days" of 85° or less annually. It's usually 95-100°+ with 190% humidity. My concern is the moisture in the air will re activate the mod podge and get gross. I considered just buying the dishwasher safe kind but it's twice the price for 1/2 as much.Does anyone know of reasonably priced alternative products that address both issues? Thanks!Kim

You could seal whatever you use it on. That should help.
Spray on acrylic sealer. Mod Podge makes one but I got a Krylon brand. Even indoors (in NC) unsealed Mod Podge WILL get "tacky." I haven't used the dishwasher type myself but the original MP (glossy or matte) does get tacky without sealer. Most sealers come in glossy and matte or satin finishes. Be sure to get the type that will produce the look you want.
Hello there,
You takes your choice from those that will do the job you want it to do. If you use anything else and it goes wrong, well it was your choice!
