Find a material you like and just recover it over the pleather.
Thought about that but am hoping to maybe find some way to paint it maybe? I like that its washable. Maybe cover with more pleather in a lighter color?
I'm working on a smaller ottoman right now. I'm going to cover the base with jute rope and recover the top with fabric. Then I'll paint the inside with a pop of color. Hop this helps.
It depends on the look you want. You could recover with pleather in a lighter color. You could stencil something on, a pattern, flourish etc. I bet there are plenty of paints that will stick to pleather and be lightly washable. I don't know if they work but iron on fabric patch material could add all kinds of decorations then just seal it. I believe modpodge makes a flexible finish.
DeAnna, you can buy pleather at Joann's fabric and maybe at Hobby Lobby.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Mother had a green one like yours. At one time she used it as a coffee table...another time it was a bench at the foot of her bed....was good storage for her. Are you good at reupholstering?...depends on your colors but I like the brown.
You can upholster it.

You can spray paint it or use a stencil with chalk paint on it!
Thankyou for all the suggestions! I decided to try to paint it off white and found a paint for leather (hopefully pleather too) I'm going to stencil the top and seal it... will post after im done.
