$2.00 Dollar Store No Sew Pillow Case Valence.
Hi, I have made a lot of valances out of pillow cases for my small patio window doors. Might not work as well for larger windows though.
Hi, One additional thing I did was to make covers for my dining room chairs at Christmas. I bought 3 packages of inexpensive cream colored pillowcase sets. I turned them inside out and pulled the bottom edges up to the top seam and pinned them in place. Then I hand tacked them together. I didn't want to sew them together because I wanted to use the pillowcases for something else later. I turned them right side out and placed the over the chair backs. I pinned on some ribbon and decorations on the back to make them festive.
One thing I did with pillowcases was to make dining room chair covers at Christmas. I saw some chair covers in a catalog. They were way too expensive my budget but It gave me an idea. So, I bought 3 sets of cream colored pillow cases. I turned each case inside out and brought the bottom edge up to the top seam. Then i pinned the edges to the seam and hand tacked them together. (I didn't want to permanently sew them together because I wanted to use the cases for something else later). This made them the right size and created the pocket to put over the chair backs. I turned them right side out and placed them on the chairs. Then I pinned some ribbon and decorations on the back of the chairs to make them festive. It worked for me.
